Walter and I have a couple of hikes left before we complete our long distance walking route through the Dutch "Groene Hart" area. On Saturday the 10th of October we walked 20 km (round trip) in 3,5 hours (giving us an average of 5,6 km per hour). We walked from Nieuwkoop to Woerdense Verlaat (two towns in The Netherlands). During last winter I ice skated on the lakes near Nieuwkoop, while walking past them I was hoping it will freeze again this winter...
It has been a while since our last hike so we had a lot of catching up to do. It was great fun to walk with Walter again although the weather was quite bad. We had lots of heavy rain during our walk, but we decided to keep on going. From now on we will not cancel our hiking plans if the weather is going to be bad, walking in bad weather can be good fun to!
Bellow you'll find a GPS track log of our hike.
